In early spring 2005 we prepared some ground in the g9 garden, and after the last frost we sowed our organic borage seeds. Borage grows well even in relatively poor soil so we used a rocky patch of ground for which we hadn't yet found a use. This patch is in full sun, but borage will do fine in partial shade. We continued to sow seeds every 2-3 weeks until the hot weather set in.

We harvested about half of the plants just as they began to flower and then dried them for use later in the year. Leaving the other half to continuing growing, we collected hundreds of seeds from the flower heads in autumn.
