love_potion (2005)

| Love-potion is made up of an number of elements such as: everyday performances, borage herbs and seeds, magic spells, performative documentation, recipes, protocols, sound, visuals and words. The work is an attempt to drive away sorrow and melancholy, uplift the spirits, and when shared with others to nurture compassion and peace. |
| The first phase of the performance takes place over six months and involves seeding, tending, harvesting and drying borage herbs. |
| The second phase involves preparing a magic potion from borage. |
| The third phase is where people come together to share the potion. Guests can take borage flowers and leaves with them to create their own potion to share with others. As more people take part, there is potential for an invisible network to coemerge. |
